Hi everybody

i have a fun new client to talk about. I wasn't sure what I was walking in to Last week. Come to fined out it was a couple with five or six large poodles.  I was a little Intimidated by the situation. Then after some time with the client I found out what she needed from me. She wasn't going to ask me to take care of all these dogs (wipes brow). She had two Pup that she wanted me to work with. She's looking to sell them to a good home eventually. She's been doing poodle rescue for over thirty six years. Now in her later years she needs some help with pup stuff from time to time. At first I would walk her beautiful white pup named Chase. While I felt he mad allot of progress with me over the week. I started to see that something was wrong with the process we where doing. I quickly found out you don't  train show dogs the same way you would your regular every day dog. He didn't know sit, stay, or come. At first she didn't want me to teach him anything. Then things quickly changed and she understood if these dogs where going to be happy Normal home pups(not show dogs). They would have to learn simple commands. I say they because a few days in I was introduced to John Henry. He was big and beautiful as well. Like chase he had no training. Both are very young and very new to the world. With that they both have obstacles they need to overcome. I'm working with thier training two hours a week. Chase is learning Sit very fast. John Henry on the other hand is very scared of me and the world. I haven't tried to teach him anything yet. I'm just trying to get him to walk with out freaking out. The client has a great yard we just walk in circles in. He had his good and bad moments today. I think he'll be able to go outside for walks in give or take a week. He's going to be my main focus right now. Wish me luck 😉
